這次要和同學們分享的是「根據」的英文用法，在日常生活中最常使用的不外乎就是「according to」，但也有其他同義詞可以使用，包括「based on」及「in one’s opinion」也都能用來表達根據的意思，而這次的英文口說小教室就來解答這之間有什麼差異！
According to
用法較廣泛，常見的表示方法根據「某人」、「研究」或是「報導」等客觀資訊的來源依據
▸According to the weather report, we will have a sunny weekend!
▸According to my best friend, I need to quite smoking as soon as possible.
In one's opinion
指根據某人的意見或想法，在日常對話裡很常見
▸In my opinion, it was the most exciting Hunger Games book in the series.
▸In their opinion, the movie was so terrible that they didn't even finish it last night.
Based on
和according to意思一樣，表示方法是以某件事做為基礎而發展出的資訊，且此用法可直接接在be動詞之後
▸I heard that the movie was based on historical facts.
▸All of the work they have done were based on their hard work.
